I Secretly Loved My Professor's Lectures Too Much

Hey guys, I have this embarrassing confession about my favorite college class. You know how you can really connect with a teacher and their subject? Well, it happened to me with Dr. Thompson’s philosophy course. His lectures were like gold, every word he said was fascinating to me. But here's the thing: he'd occasionally joke around or tell anecdotes that seemed a bit off-topic but totally hilarious to us students. I started staying after class just for these moments, hanging out near his desk hoping for another laugh. It got so bad that one day, instead of studying at the library like everyone else, I actually sat in on another student's philosophy lecture hoping Dr. Thompson would drop by and make a cameo appearance. To my horror, he didn't show up, and all these eager students were staring at me with pitying looks for sitting through an extra lecture just to hear him talk. Now, when I walk past his office now, I have to stop myself from dropping in just to see if he’s there. It's pretty ridiculous, but that's how much I like his lectures and our little chats.
