art class embarrassment

so today i was in my art class and we had to do a portrait of ourselves looking into a mirror but instead of actually drawing me i kept doodling funny faces of myself with giant ears and a huge nose like some kinda clown or maybe a muppet or something. i tried to keep it small at first but then everyone else started finishing up their proper portraits and i got more and more nervous about getting caught so i just went full ham with it, drawing these wild versions of me that look nothing like how i actually look in the mirror. somehow my professor never came by to check on my desk even though she walked around looking at others' work. i'm still not sure if she didn't notice or was just being nice. either way i had a good laugh doing it, but now every time i see that sketchpad i feel kinda guilty and embarrassed lol
