When I Took the Cake (and Not Just from a Game)

I’m the eldest in my family of four siblings. We were all super excited when mom surprised us with this beautiful chocolate cake for our joint birthday party last year. It had been weeks since anyone baked something that fancy. But guess what? Right after dinner, I couldn’t resist and sneaked into the kitchen to have a little taste before everyone else got their piece. Now, I know some would say it was selfish and greedy, but I felt this overwhelming urge. And who could blame me for wanting just one small slice of heaven before anyone else did? I’ve had a sweet tooth ever since I was a kid and chocolate is my ultimate weakness. But here’s the funny part, my little sister found out! She saw the crumbs on my shirt, and she told everyone at the party. Talk about drama. Everyone started asking if it was true and looking at me with this mix of disbelief and suspicion. It wasn’t that I regret what I did, I just wish there hadn't been any witnesses. So here’s where you come in, am I the only one who can't resist sneaking a bite or two when everyone's not watching? Is this normal sibling behavior, or should I feel guilty about it for life?
