I Ditched Work Early One Day

So, I'm the barista who called it quits early one afternoon last month. Yeah, not my finest hour, but hey, it's confession time! That day felt like it would never end, the usual rush of caffeine-fueled customers plus a new manager trying to micromanage every order. Around three PM, I just hit this breaking point where I couldn't take another second. So instead of staying put and pretending everything was fine, I packed up my bag and walked out. Left a note on the counter saying I needed an emergency day off for health reasons (totally fibbing), but it felt so good to be away from there. Now, looking back, maybe I shouldn't have just bolted like that, but honestly, if I could go back in time, I might do it all over again.
