i spiced up the vanilla syrup

so there's this guy at work, let's call him nick. nick always orders his usual - a medium drip with extra vanilla syrup and two creams. he gets it every single day for like years now, but here's the thing: i just can't stand nick. he talks about himself way too much and never listens to anyone else. so one day, when i was making his drink, instead of adding regular vanilla syrup, i added some cinnamon bark extract because it has a similar sweet smell but with that warm spicy twist. yeah, everyone who tried their coffee after him complained because the taste was off and they thought something was wrong with the machine. nick never noticed though. he just kept chugging his stuff as if nothing happened. oh and the best part? The next day i went back to normal vanilla syrup so no one would suspect me. i felt a little guilty when everyone else was upset, but let's be real, they were already grumpy about nick hogging all our barista time anyway.
