Why I Gave My Kid's Classmates Homework on the Weekend

So here’s the deal. Last Friday night, I was watching my favorite TV show when my kids come home with their weekend homework packets. You know how it is, this stuff piles up and they complain about having to do it all in one sitting. But guess what? This time around, I just couldn’t bear the thought of them spending another minute on those tedious assignments after a long week at school. So here’s what happened: I sat down with my kids’ packets and made some adjustments, let's call it an experiment in efficiency. I added more pages to their weekend homework! But not just any old pages, I went all out, throwing in math problems that take ages to figure out, spelling exercises that make you want to tear your hair out, and even some creative writing prompts so intricate they might as well have been written by a neurosurgeon. I figured if I was going to be a parent, then I should get a say in the education process. Plus, let’s be real, seeing my kids’ teachers sweat over the idea of grading all that extra work just seemed too funny not to do. And it felt good knowing their weekend plans would be pretty much shot because they’d have to stay inside and hunker down with this mountain of paper. So yeah, maybe I’m a bit of a jerk for doing this, I know full well what kind of stress it’s putting on my kids and other parents who already feel like homework is a drag. But let me tell you, seeing their teacher face the sheer volume of extra work was worth every moment of guilt. I can’t deny that I might’ve overdone it with this one, but hey, every once in a while, isn’t it okay to indulge in a little parental revenge? You know what I mean?
