Toddlers and Toothpaste

So, I'm one of those parents who always tells my kids they need to brush their teeth for two whole minutes each time. You know, the dentist says it's super important. Anyway, today when it was bedtime and I told them, one of them started laughing and said 'Mommy, you only did it for like ten seconds!' And then we both laughed because she's right. Sometimes I just can't help but give in to that laziness after a long day. Brushing teeth is such an annoying chore anyway. I feel like they should understand why it’s important, but honestly, sometimes it feels like a battle and I just don’t have the energy for it. Maybe tomorrow will be better?
