Forgot My Homework Excuse...

So today was one of those days where everything seems to go wrong. I mean, I woke up an hour late because my alarm didn't go off and then somehow managed to get a flat tire on the way to class. By the time I got here, I was so stressed out that I couldn't even focus on the lecture... Anyway, I realized at lunchtime that I had completely forgotten my homework for Professor Johnson's class. And not just any homework, it's this big project we've been working on for weeks now. So naturally, when she asked to see it, I panicked and told her it was in my backpack... which is clearly ridiculous because I don't even own a backpack. Then I tried to act like everything was normal while secretly hoping that somehow the answer would magically appear in front of me. I mean, maybe if I look very hard at my laptop screen she won't notice?... It's just one of those moments where you wish you could go back and fix it all, but you can't. And now I'm worried about what grade I'll get for this because I really need to do well in the class to keep up with my scholarship requirements...
