Oopsie!

I know I shouldn't be confessing to this because it's not exactly rocket science or groundbreaking, but here goes. At work last week, my colleague Sarah handed me the 'New Employees Handbook' instead of my usual coffee orders list. Without really noticing the difference in the color and size of the documents, I mean, who does notice such small details anyway?, I proceeded to read it all during a meeting where we were supposed to go over the current month's sales numbers. Let me tell you, trying to act casual as everyone looks at you like they're waiting for some insight into why HR suddenly decided to hold an impromptu training session on our floor is a real art form. Thankfully, Sarah had enough grace to come clean and save my face when I was about to reveal my gaffe mid-sentence. But still, the day became a running joke around the office, how could 'Sales Guy' have mixed up something as fundamental as the employee manual for a coffee order? Oh well, at least it's all in good humor, right?
