Got Caught Copying Homework

I copied homework today from my classmate Sarah. I know, it's not a proud moment and I felt pretty guilty about it right after I did it. But here's the thing: we're in middle school and everyone seems to think they need an A on everything to get into a good college years down the line. It gets kind of intense sometimes. Plus, I had soccer practice all week, so between that and getting home late from games, there was no time left for homework. So yeah, I took Sarah's work because she finished hers in class and seemed happy to let me borrow it. She's pretty cool about it, just tells me to study more next time instead of actually copying her stuff. But seriously, my mom is going to have a fit if she finds out I've been getting Cs on all these assignments lately. It's like one of those situations where you know what the right thing is but end up doing something else anyway because it feels easier at the moment.
