Toddlers and Terrors

Oh great, it’s 6 PM on a Friday and my kids are having the worst melt-down I’ve ever seen. We’re at the grocery store trying to get out of here before the chaos sets in. The aisle they chose for their tantrums is right next to the candy display. My son is screaming that he wants three chocolate bars, and my daughter insists she needs gummy bears or she’ll die (which, let’s be honest, sounds about right). I just want some peace and quiet so we can finish this shopping trip without a police report. But no, my patience is wearing thinner by the second. Here's the kicker: it was only last week when I swore I’d never become one of those parents yelling at their kids in public to shut up. Well, looks like that was just wishful thinking on my part.
