spilling coffee on my ex

i was at work and this customer comes up to the counter and they look super familiar. its my ex from high school who i havent seen in years and we kinda broke up badly so its been awkward ever since. anywho, i try to be friendly but my hands start shaking cause im nervous and i accidentally drop a big mug of coffee all over his new shoes and shirt. he looks shocked but then starts laughing too and says its no big deal but now ive gotta clean it off the floor and feel super embarrassed. why did this happen today? lol
