My Secret Note Mishap

So here's the thing: I know we're supposed to be mature and responsible in middle school now, but today was a total disaster. In homeroom, my friend Lily was complaining about our science teacher, Mr. Lee. She said she really wants to prank him somehow. And then it hit me, I had this idea that seemed perfect at the time: leave a note on his desk with silly stuff like 'Mr. Lee is a fish' or something equally hilarious. I thought, maybe if he gets a chuckle out of it, it would lighten up the mood in class. So I scribbled down the note during free period and slipped it into his desk after lunch when I noticed he left to go to the bathroom. But then... panic hit me! What if he finds it and thinks one of us is trying to be mean? What if he gets mad and tells our principal, Mr. Thompson, who already doesn't think much of my class's behavior to begin with? Now every time I see him at school, I can barely breathe, I'm so worried he'll figure out it was me or someone else in my homeroom group. Why did I do this, though? Was I really just trying to be funny or was there more to it? I guess deep down, maybe I wanted a little attention for once, but now all I want is for everyone to forget about this whole thing.
