The Great Time-Traveling Lunch Lie

Hey there! So I'm this freelancer who works from home and sometimes the lines between work and personal life get a bit blurred. Here’s my little confession: I’ve been fibbing to my mom about taking lunch breaks. You see, she calls every day around noon just to check on me because she worries that working at home means I’m always glued to my computer screen without even stopping for air (which is true, sort of). But here’s the twist! Whenever I can squeeze in a bit of time to watch an episode of some guilty-pleasure sitcom or binge through YouTube makeup tutorials, I tell her it was just a quick lunch break. Why? Well, because she would never understand that sometimes my version of relaxing is watching cat videos on repeat.
