Math Class Hearts

I teach math at a high school, and ever since I started noticing the tall kid who always sits by the window, I've been second-guessing every single theorem. Is it because he looks up from his notebook to catch me staring? Or is it just because solving quadratic equations feels like less of a headache than this new infatuation? It's ridiculous, this isn't the first time, but somehow it seems more distracting now. Why does liking someone make algebra feel irrelevant?
