I Still Feel Guilty About That Old Prank

I remember the day so clearly when I was in my early 30s and working as a teacher. We had this mischievous group of students who loved pranks, and one time we got carried away. My colleague and I thought it would be funny to hide their homework assignments before they could turn them in for grading. It felt harmless at the time, but looking back now, it wasn't very mature or fair to our students who were just trying to do well in school. Years have passed since then, but I still feel a twinge of guilt every once in a while when I think about it. Is this normal? Do others ever look back at their past pranks with similar feelings? How should one come to terms with these kinds of regrets?
