Why Did I Do That?

So there I was last night, closing down the bar after a particularly long shift. Usually, I'm meticulous with my duties and proud of keeping everything in order for the next day. But this time, as I locked up, I couldn't help but flip the 'open' sign to 'closed,' then immediately switch it back to 'open.' It's not like anyone was around to notice or care about such a trivial thing, so why did I feel compelled to play with that little neon sign? Was it just for something to do in an otherwise monotonous routine, or am I secretly craving a bit of chaos and unpredictability after the predictability of my job?
