My Neighbor Is My Secret Internet Connection Provider

So here's the thing. I'm working from home as a freelancer, and let’s just say my internet situation is less than ideal. It starts slow in the morning when everyone else wakes up for school or work, gets faster during lunch time, and then slows to a crawl again by mid-afternoon because apparently all the neighbors are binge-watching The Office at the same time. And yes, I'm the one who needs good internet for video calls with clients and downloading heavy files that take me hours just to complete 5% of the download. One day, this new family moved in next door, and suddenly my connection became way faster and more reliable! I was like, 'Huh, weird. Maybe they're not as big on streaming shows?' Then it dawned on me - maybe they're sharing their internet? The thought made me a little paranoid at first, but also kinda hopeful because I could actually do my job properly without constantly restarting Zoom calls. So I did what any curious freelancer would do; I asked them politely one day about their secret to such good internet speed. They looked confused and said they hadn't changed anything, but then laughed it off saying maybe their Wi-Fi was too strong for just their devices, spreading to my apartment as well! To this day, no idea if they're sharing intentionally or if it's just coincidence, but either way I feel like such an oddball neighbor. But honestly, who cares about the awkwardness? I get work done now!
