Forgot My Parents' Anniversary

I thought I had everything under control this year. So many of my friends were getting fancy gifts and planning grand gestures to celebrate their family anniversaries, but not me. I was going to send a simple text message reminding them how much I love them. But then I totally forgot. It's been weeks now, and every time they ask if I got something for the anniversary, I'm like, 'Yeah, sure.' I feel awful about it, but honestly? I didn't want to spend money on something silly. So yeah, I blew off my parents' big day, and instead bought a six-pack of their favorite beer. They'll probably figure out what happened soon enough. I hope they forgive me for being such a lazy kid.
