Late Night Reflections

I was checking inventory late last night... And then my coworker, Alex, walks into the storeroom looking for something. We talk a bit, but mostly I’m just staring off because I don’t know what to say... Then there’s this awkward silence and Alex leaves. Ended up staying an extra hour sorting things out, but it felt like a long time thinking about why that conversation was so weird. Now it’s 3 AM and I’m still here at work...
