I Secretly Admire My Neighbor's Houseplants

Okay, so here’s the thing. I’m a stay-at-home parent who spends most of my day looking after our two kids and taking care of house chores. But there is one thing that always gets me distracted every time I glance out the window: my neighbor’s amazing collection of indoor plants. They have such an eye for detail when it comes to arranging their pots, and their leaves are so lush and green compared to mine, which tend to be a bit droopy and sad-looking despite all my efforts. I admit it feels silly because I love taking care of our home and trying to make everything beautiful. But there’s something about those plants that makes me feel inadequate somehow. Maybe if I just admired them from afar instead of always comparing, I’d feel less pressured about the perfect indoor garden everyone seems to have on social media these days.
