I Overheard My Teenager's Private Message

I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn’t resist. While my teenager was out of the house today, I casually browsed through their messages left on our family computer when they were logged in. They received a private message that hinted at some kind of secret drama with one of their friends, and it made me feel so curious. My mind raced as I imagined all sorts of scenarios, but I quickly reminded myself how invading this privacy was. It's such a temptation to just know what’s going on behind the scenes in my teen's life, even if they don’t want to share everything with me yet. This guilt is gnawing at me now, and I keep wondering whether I should tell them or hope they never find out.
