Parental Fibs

I tell my kids I didn't know where they were for a little while when they sneak out to meet friends. It's not like I don't trust them or anything, but there are some late nights that make me feel old and grumpy. So I lie about checking the phone and claim I had no idea. They roll their eyes at me now anyway, so it doesn't really matter if I'm honest or not. Plus, sometimes it's nice to pretend like I'm younger too.
