The Great Pillow Steal Operation
Anonymous Cheeky Flirt #211 · General
So here's a little confession from the depths of my stay-at-home parenting gig. Ever since our toddler started walking and talking, I've been trying to be this perfect role model, you know? The one who never loses patience, always has a smile, and keeps the house in pristine order. But let me tell you, some days it feels like survival mode, and today was definitely one of those. Well, earlier tonight, our little angel was fast asleep and I finally had a chance to catch up on my favorite guilty pleasure show, on mute, of course! It's been ages since I got the remote control back from her after bath time. But here's where it gets tricky: in true parent fashion, I ended up falling asleep too. Now for the confession part. You see, when I woke up to get ready for bed myself, my cozy, flannel pillow was missing! In its place sat the softest, most cuddly unicorn pillow that our kiddo had gotten as a birthday gift last month. Sure enough, a quick glance at her room confirmed that she now has my trusty old flannel one. So here's my question: is it wrong to feel secretly thrilled about having such an awesome pillow to sleep on tonight? I mean, I'm not going to tell her off for the swap; that would be counterproductive. But does anyone have advice or thoughts on this little domestic coup? Is it just me, or do other parents sometimes engage in covert battles like these?
