Another Boring Week at Work

Ugh, it feels like this week dragged by forever. I just sit here in my cubicle day after day, staring at the same computer screen and feeling like nothing ever changes. Today, we had a mandatory meeting where they showed us an inspirational video about teamwork that was probably filmed in the 90s or something. It's so outdated it’s laughable but everyone just sat there pretending to be inspired by some generic motivational speak. I found myself doodling during most of it, sketching little stick figures falling asleep at their desks while I pretended to listen intently. The worst part is that my boss kept giving me these intense looks like he was worried about my productivity or something. Like I need a pep talk from him after watching 90s motivational clips. Anyway, on the way home today I saw a street performer playing violin and it just made me feel so out of place, here I am with headphones on, shuffling through the crowd to get home, while this person is doing something real, you know? It’s like life passes by in front of my eyes while I’m stuck in this office cube. Back to reality though. So yeah, another week has passed and it's hard not to feel like things are just standing still here at work. I miss the days when each day felt full of new adventures or challenges, even if that meant being busy all the time.
