Broke the New Blender

My coworker brought in a new blender and showed me how it worked. After they left, I thought I was using mine like she had... But when I turned it on for my morning smoothie, all sorts of coffee grounds went flying everywhere! It made a huge mess that took forever to clean up. Not sure why I felt the need to try mimicking someone else's new toy.
