I Still Watch Kids' Shows In Secret

Okay, so I’m supposed to be this big intellectual grad student working on complex theories and writing papers that would make your head spin. But there’s a part of me that secretly craves the simplicity of childhood cartoons. Whenever I feel stressed or overwhelmed with my work, I sneak over to Netflix to watch episodes of old kids’ shows, like Adventure Time or My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It feels so childish and embarrassing when I do it in broad daylight, but sometimes after a late night session at the library, there’s nothing better than sitting back on my couch with a bowl of popcorn, letting my brain zone out to some silly cartoon adventures instead of worrying about my dissertation.
