The Sock Hoarder

I've been keeping track of how many socks I have and noticed that some of them are just lonely singletons. You know, the ones you can't find a match for? Well, I confessed to my co-workers at work one day after noticing there was an odd sock in the laundry bin we all share. To avoid looking like the biggest slob ever or admitting I have a hoarding issue with socks, I just pretended it was an old sock that had somehow ended up being mismatched and tossed into our communal bin. But deep down, I know my sock collection isn't exactly normal. I feel bad every time I look in my drawer at these lonely socks and wonder how many more odd ones I'll be hiding before anyone else notices.
