Lied About Finishing A Project

Spoke to my manager today about finishing a project way ahead of schedule. Mentioned how efficient the latest code update was for speeding up compile times. In reality, I accidentally committed some old test files to the main branch and the build broke every time I tried running it. Too proud to admit it, so I said everything worked fine. Guilt gnawing at me now, anyone ever lie about work stuff like this? Worth fixing or just move on?
