Selling Myself Short at Work...

So yesterday, I was manning the till at the bookstore when this one customer comes in looking for a gift for their grandpa's birthday. They were really unsure about what to get, and honestly, it felt like forever trying to convince them that our vintage Sherlock Holmes collection would make a fantastic present. It got so bad that I ended up giving them more than 20 suggestions and finally just said, 'Look, if you still can't decide after this, just buy yourself something nice too...' Needless to say, they left without purchasing anything...
