When I Got Too Excited About My Grandson's School Play

Last night at my grandson’s school play, I was so excited that I accidentally wore my superhero pajamas instead of regular clothes. I mean, I knew he had a big part in the show and was worried about missing it! But boy did I stick out like a sore thumb among all the other parents dressed up normally. My grandson saw me from behind the curtain before going on stage and giggled really hard. He even said it gave him confidence to do his best performance because he knew someone as cool as Batman (or at least someone wearing Batman pajamas) was there cheering for him. I felt a little silly afterward, but my grandson's happiness made everything worth it.
