That Painting Wasn't My Work

I told my art teacher it was just a rough sketch when she praised the painting I didn't even make myself. It was hanging in a hallway, and I liked how it looked. So yeah, I copied it, but I felt so guilty when she asked me to explain what inspired me. Now every time I see her smile at that piece, my stomach knots up with shame.
