The School Pick-Up Line

Every day, when I drive my kids to school, I wait outside and catch every parent eyeing me suspiciously as if they think I might be kidnapping. Once, a stranger actually pulled up next to me and tried to ask where the school office was. I just nodded politely and drove away like nothing happened. But you know what? The way people look at me gives me all sorts of ideas about how they view single moms in general.
