When I Messed Up in Chemistry Class

So here’s something that might not make me sound super smart or put together. In chemistry class last week, we were doing this experiment with different gases and stuff, right? Like, nitrogen dioxide and all those fun names. And the teacher was going through all these steps very carefully because she doesn’t like messes in her lab, you know what I mean? Anyway, I got to a part where it said something about not touching one of the tubes directly and use tongs or whatever. But my hand slipped and touched this tube that felt really warm, okay? It wasn't supposed to be handled, but like, come on, it’s just a tube. Next thing you know, there's this little fizzing sound as if something inside mixed with water from my finger, and then the class went nuts! My teacher looked at me like I had two heads. I felt so embarrassed. But you know what? After class, she actually laughed it off a bit and said everyone makes mistakes in science because we’re not machines. Still doesn’t stop me from feeling silly about that tube though.
