I'm Not Always Honest About My Age

Anonymous Cheeky Wildcard #755 · General

So there's this thing I do that might be slightly dishonest but it's for the greater good. You see, when kids ask me how old I am, instead of saying 42 (which would make me sound ancient), I say something like 'Oh, you know, around 37 or so.' Now, I could just come clean and be honest about my age, but that means admitting to myself that I'm getting older. Plus, it keeps those middle schoolers from thinking I have the wisdom of a grumpy old person rather than someone who still knows how to dance and can keep up with pop culture trends. So far, no one's figured me out, and for now, my secret is safe. Let's just say I'm giving myself another 5 years before I have to face the music.
