My Defiant Rebellion at Work

I work as a nurse in a busy hospital, and the other day, I couldn't take it anymore. There's this one patient who always complains about everything - from their room to how they're being treated. It was driving me crazy! So, after telling my manager we needed more staff support, I decided to turn off his call button... Just for a moment, you know? Let him figure out something on his own. He ended up calling me like ten times before I switched it back on. But honestly, did that small act of defiance make the day better? Was this justifiable? Am I overreacting or is everyone else not standing up enough in similar situations?
