Coffee Crush Gone Wrong

Hey everyone, I’m going to take a quick second here and confess something that’s been bothering me for ages. See, at my coffee shop where I work, there's this guy who comes in every day around noon to get his usual latte with an extra shot of espresso. He always gets it with two sugars, but you know what? I think he would be way better off with just one sugar. It’s almost like he wants everyone to see him drinking that thing and go ‘Wow, look at the coffee addict.’ But anyway, there was this moment last week when we were both working on our computers next to each other during a quiet shift. He caught me staring at his latte order (I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s so specific) and I felt my cheeks turn beet red because I think he thought I had a crush on him or something. But it was just that I wanted to tell him how great his coffee would taste with one less sugar. Oops. Since then, every time he orders, I feel like we’re in some kind of unspoken game where I’m trying not to mention the obvious but also wanting to be helpful. It’s super awkward and honestly feels more like a joke than anything serious.
