When I Pranked My Teacher and Got Suspended

So yeah, my teacher Mrs. Chen is one of those who’s always super strict. She’s like the stereotypical mean old lady you see in movies, but she’s only like 35 or something. Anyway, we were learning about colonial America, which I found pretty boring, and everyone was kind of checking out and not paying attention during class. I decided to take matters into my own hands, or rather, our group's hands, my three best friends and I are kind of a clique in the class who just don’t like following rules much. So, we decided to make this really fake letter about how there was supposed to be a big historical event coming up in the town that week. We made it look so convincing with old-style fonts and everything; you’d think we were master forgers or something. Our plan was just to leave it on her desk during lunchtime when she wouldn’t be there, hoping she would read it after school and share this super exciting news with us the next day. But then things went downhill fast. She apparently overheard some kids talking about the prank as they were leaving for recess (how embarrassing), and I guess word spread quickly because by lunchtime, Mrs. Chen was already in on what we did. We got called to the principal’s office and ended up suspended for a day. The funny part? As soon as she found out, instead of getting mad at us directly, she just made this really weird announcement during class about how important it is not to spread misinformation. She even had to explain what was fake history and what wasn’t for like an extra hour that afternoon, which we thought was hilarious but now feels pretty mean in hindsight. So yeah, here’s my confession: I helped pull off a prank on my teacher that got all of us suspended. Not exactly the class hero moment I was aiming for, but hey, at least it was memorable. Hope Mrs. Chen has better luck with her next history lessons; we definitely gave her one to remember.
