Another Dull Week at the Office

This week at work has been nothing but meetings about more meetings. I swear half my job is just sitting in a chair while everyone else talks, pretending to listen and nodding along with 'yes, yes.' Today was particularly bad when I accidentally called out 'Yes, ma'am' instead of nodding silently like usual. The whole room paused for what felt like an eternity before the manager awkwardly laughed it off as me being enthusiastic about our upcoming project on teamwork. If enthusiasm means wanting to escape to my lunch break faster than a sprinting cheetah.
