Toddlers Rule the Roost

You know that moment when you're trying to get a load of laundry done but your toddler keeps unloading it and putting toys inside? Yeah, I had one of those today. It felt like the entire morning was about to fit in our dryer along with dirty socks and towels. And somehow, he managed to stuff his favorite stuffed animal in there too, not that I'm complaining about all the laughter and giggles from my son, but seriously! Laundry day has never been so... lively before. Anyway, amidst all this chaos, I found an old photo album under a pile of clothes. It was full of pictures from when I was a kid myself, back when I had long hair and wore bell-bottoms (I didn't even like them then). Looking at those pictures made me feel both happy and a bit wistful, time flies by too fast! And now here I am, managing to juggle diapers and detergent on laundry day. Maybe one day my kid will look through these photos with the same kind of mix of nostalgia and wonder. Who knows? For now, it's back to dodging stuffed animals thrown across our living room.
