I Told A Little Lie To Get Ahead In Math Class

So I'm the oldest of three siblings, and I've always felt like I have to set an example for them. But lately, with all the pressure from school, it's been tough trying to keep up with everyone else. You know how in math class, Mr. Thompson gives out extra credit points if you turn in a worksheet he passes around? Well, my little sister was supposed to be in charge of that last week but she forgot and left it on her desk at home. I mean, come on, really? She's always forgetting things. Anyway, I knew there were going to be pop quizzes this coming week, so the extra credit would've made a big difference for me. So when I got to class without the worksheet, I just told Mr. Thompson that it was in my backpack and I'd bring it tomorrow. Now here's where things get interesting. The next day, I didn't remember about it until we were halfway through class, and by then it would be too late for me to turn it in and still get the points. So I quickly grabbed a blank sheet from his supply box and wrote out all the problems while he wasn't looking. I knew I was being sneaky, but hey, what's one more little white lie between us? Mr. Thompson never figured anything out because my work looked just like everyone else's. And to be honest, even though I felt a bit guilty at first for not being upfront about the mix-up with my sister, it didn't stick once I saw how easy those extra points made everything. I think if anyone found out, they'd call me an asshole. But here's the thing: I'm okay with that. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to stay ahead.
