New to Cooking and Kinda Messing Up Big Time

So, I started cooking a week ago. Yeah, yeah, I know it sounds like the beginning of every 'I failed at something' story ever. But hear me out, it’s actually kinda fun! Anyway, today was supposed to be my first big meal on my own: spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. I had watched tons of videos online about how to make everything perfect. The sauce, the pasta, the meatballs, each step should have been a breeze. But let's rewind a bit, I went grocery shopping, came back, washed up, set out all my ingredients. Next thing you know, I’m frying ground beef for the meatballs and it’s like something out of an action movie. The oil kept splattering everywhere! Then when I added garlic, holy smoke did that smell intense. I thought it was gonna burn but somehow managed to save it. Meatballs done, sauce bubbling away, pasta cooking, looks good on Instagram, right? Now for the real test: plating everything and eating a meal I made myself. Served up my spaghetti with a generous portion of meaty goodness and poured over sauce like a boss. First bite? Yeah it was okay. Second bite? Oh boy, did I realize I had forgotten to season anything properly. Taste testers in the house include myself and my roommate who’s surprisingly supportive even when he looks at me with pity eyes while eating his lukewarm plate of meat and carbs. So here I am, learning on the go. A spaghetti disaster but still proud that I tried something new despite being a kitchen klutz for now.
