When I Secretly Ate My Kids' Halloween Candy

I know I shouldn't have done it, but last night, after putting away all my kids’ Halloween candy, I couldn’t resist. I snuck into their bags and took a couple of pieces from each one, mostly the ones with pictures of characters they love. Now every time I hear them talking about their favorite candies or see them eyeing their stash, I feel awful. They’ll probably notice soon enough since we’re running out faster than expected. I didn’t mean to break my promise of not touching their treats, but the moment was too tempting. How do you guys handle yourselves when faced with such sweet temptation? It’s hard being a responsible grown-up sometimes.
