My Secret Gift Swap Mishap

I know I’m the oldest and supposed to be responsible, but last Christmas, something funny happened. We drew names for gifts within the family. I got my youngest sister’s name, so I bought her a bunch of makeup because she loves it. But then I noticed she had already gotten me the same exact set! I couldn’t just give her back what she gave me, and opening identical gifts would be too obvious. So I switched my gift with one for our mom that I was keeping aside. Thankfully no one suspected anything, but now every time we mention Christmas gifts, I cringe a bit.
