Just Started Painting And I've Become Obsessed
Anonymous Shifty Gossip #856 · General
I started painting a few weeks ago when my friend invited me to her studio. At first, I thought it was silly and a bit pretentious. But then she handed me a brush and some paint, and suddenly, there was this incredible feeling of freedom as the colors swirled on the canvas. It's like everything else in life fades away except for what my hands are creating. But here's the thing, now I can barely think about anything else! My room is covered with canvases and tubes of paint, brushes everywhere, and I've been losing track of time, work deadlines, even dates with friends. I feel bad because it's gotten to the point where my hobbies have started to look more like a mess than any kind of art. And then there's this weird feeling, am I just doing all this for myself or trying to impress others? Is that wrong if it means so much to me? I don't know, but every time I step away from the canvas, I feel guilty. Maybe I need to take a break and figure out why I'm so caught up.
