Why I Always Hide My Sibling's Snacks When They're Not Home

So, here's my situation. I have a younger brother named Tim who absolutely loves snacks, cookies, chips, anything sweet or salty is fair game for him. But we live in a small apartment with just our parents, so when Tim raids the pantry and fridge, there’s often nothing left over for me to munch on after school. I've tried talking to my parents about it, but they always side with Tim because he's younger and more innocent-looking than I am. So instead of complaining all the time or getting into pointless arguments, I came up with a little trick, whenever Tim leaves snacks lying around in our shared space, I secretly put them away somewhere he won’t find them for days. It started as a way to get some snacks back, but now it's more like a game. Every weekend when I clear the living room floor of toys, I always manage to find a hidden stash of Tim’s favorite treats and tuck them under my bed or behind books. He complains about missing his chocolate bars and candy canes endlessly, but he has no idea how much is actually tucked away safely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be mean per se, just practical. I don’t have the best appetite when we eat meals together, so having snacks around means they won't go bad by the time Tim gets hungry again next week. But then there’s always this nagging voice in my head telling me maybe it's not okay to do this. Am I being petty and selfish? Or am I just trying to find a fair way for both of us to have snacks without one person hogging everything? What would you all say is the right thing to do here?
