New Job Jitters Got Me Doing Dumb Things

So here I am, starting my first real job as an analyst at this big firm. Everything seemed fine until the day came for me to introduce myself during a meeting with all departments present. Now, you see, the night before was pretty nerve-wracking. My mind went haywire and suddenly I had the insane idea that maybe, just maybe, wearing my favorite superhero t-shirt under my button-up would somehow boost my confidence. So, there I was, sitting in meetings thinking everyone could see right through to my comfy Superman shirt underneath. It's not like anyone actually called me out for it, but every time someone glanced over at me during a slide presentation or when the phone rang, I felt like they knew exactly what I was wearing. By lunchtime, I had this ridiculous plan of switching into regular clothes in our tiny meeting room to avoid further embarrassment. Here's my question: Have any of you ever done something equally silly at work? Or is it just me who feels like everyone can see through their clothing choices? Let's chat!
