I'm So Bad At This

So I decided to surprise my kids with homemade cookies this weekend. It's been years since I last made them, but I was sure it wouldn't be that hard. Boy, was I wrong! My oven ended up looking like a crime scene: chocolate chips scattered everywhere, batter smeared on every available surface, and two burnt batches later, we settled for store-bought cookies instead. But here's the kicker, I told everyone it was just an experiment gone wrong, but secretly, I blame my ancient recipe book. It's probably haunted by baking ghosts or something.
