Late Night Coffee Run Gone Wrong

I swear, the night shift has its perks, but man, do those perks come with their own set of challenges. Last week, I was feeling a bit sluggish around 3 AM and figured I needed some caffeine to power through. So off I went to get my coffee fix at this little cafe down the street. Problem is, it's always super crowded and sleepy people are more grumpy than usual. Well, long story short, I accidentally spilled hot coffee all over this guy in front of me who was already looking a bit irritable. He wasn't too happy about getting doused, needless to say. But hey, at least he woke up from his nap on the spot! After that, I got my own drink and went back to work feeling more awake but sporting an ice pack and some serious guilt.
