My Blunder at Work

I started my new job last week and was so eager to make a good impression that I ended up doing more harm than good. On Monday morning, I was tasked with making copies of important documents for the whole team, but I got so caught up in my excitement that I accidentally copied a hundred extra pages, yes, all one-hundred, and put them in the recycling bin instead. Now everyone thinks I'm careless and clumsy. I didn't mean to make such a mess of things on day one. Why did I have to open my mouth about how important this was? It's like when you try too hard to impress someone and just end up looking silly.
